And even super champions as parents of the puppy are also not a guaranty of «show » class in 45 days . It is impossible to say that it is » show » class when the puppy is under 2 month old . Standard, perspective or pet — class( not for showing and not for breeding ) . Not more . To speak about real «show» class we can only after 10 month , or even later , when the height you can see exactly, the teeth has been already changed , etc . But in our breed breeders will not keep puppies so long time. Plus charisma of the dog is very important for show. And » show » — it is very expensive hobby . Registration , traveling, training — » show » costs a lot . And what kind of «show » is meant? National dog show in some small town, where your ridgeback will be the only representative of the breed or Best — in -show win at big international show ? So , if you are searching for «show» dog at 45 days — I think it is not right . First of all you must search the dog for your soul , for you family , for loving it . And may be you will be lucky to grow a real Show Star up . Of course , in this case you must choose a standard puppy from proper parents , with nice temper and health tests from reputable breeder. If you are not interesting in showing and breeding you practically always can find pet — class puppies even from the best parents . Pet class puppies cost less — but they are the same Rhodesian Ridgebacks , beautiful lovely dogs.

I was lucky with choosing the breeders of my first Rhodesian Ridgebacks , foundation dogs of Red Hot Line Kennel .
