Heshimayakimba Grand Aquarius (our tender, elegant and obedient Grand) and Podarok iz Afriki Barra Joy (our smart, trainable and energetic Barra) are glad to bid you welcome on a site devoted to dogs with a ridge on a back – Rhodesian Ridgebacks. And we — their owners — are happy to represent you our dogs and this wonderful breed. My name is Tatyana and I live with my family in Kiev, Ukraine.
I will write from «us» below in the text…because without my family it would be impossible to reach such succeses with our dogs. And you must always remember, planning to take a dog to your home- everyone from your family must be agree with you in loving the dogs. Or the situation will become difficult.. Dog is not a toy.. and RR not a toy in any case. Rhodesian Ridgeback — is rather big and energetic dog.
In 2006 Grand has arrived to us from the ridgebacks motherland, from the far Africa (from the famous South-African kennel “Heshima ya Kimba”). Barra has come to our family from Moscow also in the year 2006 – The Year of Fire Dog, according to Chineese Horoscope, and this fact is very symbolitical for us. Her mother has been imported in a well-known Russian kennel Podarok iz Afriki from the oldest African kennel GLENAHOLM. Barra’s father — legendary Show and Breeding Star — Ezop, the father of many champions, he was born in Moscow from SA imported famouse Sir — Sabu Alexander and Exotic Lend Iden. Sabu Alexander gave to his progeny the SA blood of old SA kennel Shangara (He was the son of Shangara Sabhuku). Barra and Grand has proven their exellents pedigree by beautiful progeny and by a lot of show successes. They are inter, multichampion. Grand won Veteran World Winner -2014, Barra has became Europe Veteran Winner at the same year.
I must thank their wonderful breeders many times for such dogs and I will never be tired to do this. We love our dogs very much.
In the year 2009 we have registered our own kennel — Red Hot Line. The litters in our kennel takes place very rare but always in some interesting for us combinations. We always remember the phrase » There is no ideal dog, but planning the litter you must imagine The Ideal». Our puppies are growing in love and care. — So we demand the same from their future owners. Attitude to the breeding as for earning money is killing any breed. Always remember this, you must respect the work of breeders who were behind you.
One doughter of Barra and Grand from their first litter — Podarok iz Afriki Mona Mari Chakanyuka and from the second litter — Red Hot Line Abara Amarula Lady Star (Jolie) are living with my parents. We are enjoing of looking how our puppies are growing up and we are happy to know all the achievements of every our puppy.
So, why is a ridgeback ? When it comes into your life like a whirlwind, it brings such an inexhaustible stock of impetuous enthusiasm, energy and so many positive emotions, that you can not resist them. It should be difficult for you not to notice this expression of genuine fidelity in the eyes, not to appreciate the mind and the developed intuition of the proud four-footed friend.
It is impossible not to estimate their elegant movements, which are light and dexterous, their games, which are sometimes severe, but are always fair.
There are legends about them, about their adaptability, dexterity, their mind. They were used for hunting for lions, but their most significant quality isn’t even the skill to attack but the skill to save the master and themselves. Ridgeback risks never in vain. It is a very clever dog, which can perfectly estimate surrounding conditions. This is a dog which has survived in a wild area, the dog which can come in time to a right decision, which is always ready to protect its master and his properties. “If you have a diamond, let ridgeback guard it”, says African wisdom. If ridgeback knocks into your heart, your life becomes much more interesting, bright, saturated, and soon you don’t even imagine, how you could live without this lovely, cheerful, smart and devoted friend.
Ridgeback will join you in all your journeys with a great pleasure. It gives this dog much pleasure to entertain children. It will take you for a walk in summer and in winter. But you have to realize that ridgeback is a large and vigorous dog which demands attention and care, before opening your heart to it.
You have to be responsible when you choose a puppy. Study materials of the Internet, literature, go necessarily to exhibitions, communicate with owners who liked Rhodesian ridgebacks. And we shall be always glad to bid you welcome on our site and help you by any consultation.
